Anna Kåri is a photojournalist based in West Africa and London. Her work centres around issues of human rights and animal rights, migration, refugees and identity. She travels and works extensively in the Balkans, West and Eastern Africa, on personal projects and jobs.
With her 5 year long-term project "The refugees from Kosovo" she has won a Metro young photographers bursary award, The Tom Webster Award and was the runner up in the Ian Parry Awards. In 2005 she took part in the prestigious world press masterclass.
Anna's work has been published by the TIME, Sunday Times Magazine, Le Monde 2, the Guardian, Politiken and many others. She works for charities such as Save the Children and Amnesty. Her projects have been exhibited extensively at among other places the European Union, Courtauld Institute of Art in London, University of Cantebury, The Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow and Proud Gallery in London.
